Precious Stones & Gems Insurance

Whether an investor, a collector–or a jeweler who utilizes a box to store diamonds, gems and jewelry–GSB provides a convenient and cost-effective solution for those who have made, or are willing to make the prudent decision to store their assets in a safe deposit box or a SecurePlus accredited private vault facility.

Diamonds and gemstones are some of the most common items kept in a safe deposit box or private vault facility. A such, given the infrequency of wear, high cost of insurance, and increase in robberies and thefts across the country, vaults or safety deposit boxes are the best possible options. We handle various types of high risk gems & jewellery transportation insurance.

Stones & Gems Investment

Rapaport Investment Diamond Certificate (RDC) is the industry’s most stringent standard for diamond quality. Obtained only by highest quality diamonds, the Rapaport investment diamond certificate separates premium quality from other high quality diamonds. By certifying top quality diamonds the Investment Diamond Certificate provides absolute confidence and assurance of quality and added value. Obtaining an Investment Diamond Certificate guarantees the diamond’s quality and provides confidence for both buyer and seller, thus paving the way for online diamond transactions. Removing the physical barriers of diamond trading increases ease of sale and enables faster, safer and easier transactions, thus enlarging the overall market. In addition, Rapaport certified diamonds maintain their market value, making them ideal for investors, looking for portfolio diversification.

GIA

The GIA created the 4 Cs grading system. GIA is known for having the strictest grading standards of the leading labs and is also the most consistent. The GIA certificate is considered the benchmark to which all others are compared.

IGI

IGI - International Gemological Institute

The IGI tends to grade diamonds looser in color and somewhat looser in clarity compared to GIA. The IGI is consistent in its grading standards.

AGS

 AGS - American Gem Society

The AGS was the original lab to provide diamond cut grades and uses its own cut grading scale from 0 to 9. The AGS’s grading standards are nearly comparable to GIA’s grading standards. AGS has an excellent reputation for consistency.
